
Biography
Composer and pianist Juliana Ripke holds a PhD and a master's degree in musicology from USP and a bachelor's degree in piano from Faculdade Cantareira. She works as a pianist in renowned groups such as the Coral Jovem do Estado and the Coro da Acadêmico Osesp, in addition to teaching at institutions such as the Instituto Baccarelli and Emesp (São Paulo State School of Music). She is also a researcher and member of the PAMVILLA group, focusing on the work of Villa-Lobos, and has presented her research at national and international conferences. His compositions have been commissioned and premiered by important artistic groups, such as the Coral Paulistano, OSESP Choir, Youth Choir of the State of São Paulo, Ouro Preto Orchestra, Goiás Philharmonic Orchestra, Espírito Santo Symphony Orchestra, Experimental Repertoire Orchestra, USP Symphony Orchestra, Joseense Orchestra, Chilean Chamber Orchestra, Heliópolis Youth Orchestra, Indaiatuba Philharmonic Camerata, Vale Música Youth Orchestra, State Youth Band, among others, with emphasis on choral and symphonic works based on literary and poetic texts, such as those by Conceição Evaristo, Hilda Hilst, Florbela Espanca and Mário de Andrade. Furthermore, her music has been performed on prestigious stages, such as the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, Sala São Paulo, Theatro São Pedro, Estação CCR das Artes, Masp, Teatro B32 and several Sesc stages, consolidating her performance as a versatile artist present in the contemporary Brazilian classical music scene.
